A More Organized Kitchen With These Simple Tidy Tips

Well, it’s that time of year when we like to purge, organize, and tidy all the spaces! Let’s start with an organized kitchen. We all know the kitchen is the heart of the home. After all, we spend days and hours in our kitchen space. When we have an organized kitchen, it makes all the difference. A clean and tidy kitchen also allows us to have a designated PLACE FOR EVERYTHING!

Organized Kitchen Countertops Ideas

Organized Kitchen Countertops

When it comes time to countertops, there are lots of organizing ideas that come to mind. A simple utensil holder like the ceramic one is a great organizing piece to hold all those utensils. Baskets are another way to organize countertop space, too. Choosing a countertop utensil holder also allows us to have more drawer space, too. You get to be creative here and choose the organizing pieces that fit your space and your needs.

Kitchen Drawer Organization

Of course, our kitchen drawers need to be organized, too. There are all kinds of drawer bin organizers to choose from. From clear to wooden bins, and adding a little color, there are so many options to choose from. I provided a close-up of the clear bins that I used here. Adding bins of various sizes helps to keep items in place and also allows them a designated home to go back to!

Organizing The Junk Drawer

Junk Drawer Organizing Tips

We all have a junk drawer or drop zone drawer. These can become quickly disorganized and a mess if we don’t have an organizing system in place. Again, various organizing bins and containers help to keep this drawer organized, clutter-free, and maintained. Every item has its own place!

Pantry Organizing Tips

I could write a whole other article on the pantry alone. But I will give some basic organizing ideas here. There are multiple types of bins we can choose to go in the pantry.

In the first pantry photo, I have a wooden crate on the top shelf. Wooden crates are great pieces to use in multiple places in our homes. This allows for better organizing and gives me another space on top of the crate. I actually have three wooden crates on the top pantry shelf.

The second pantry photo is divided into organizing bins. These bins are great for organizing different food items like snacks or breakfast items, too. You can see a mixture of items here, such as oatmeal, protein bars, peanut butter, muffins, and popcorn. This will give you an idea of what we have in our bins. But the sky is the limit here. These bins are great for many items.

The third photo includes a lazy susan. Lazy Susans are great for various items that you want to find easily. I am using this lazy susan for baking spices. You can also use them for regular spices or condiments. I also have a basket tucked in the corner. Corners can be tricky. This allowed me to put a few items here that I can still access easily, too. And, of course, the flour and sugar containers. Ours are clear, and I also labeled them too. I know these can sit on the countertops, but I kept ours in the pantry. It’s all about choice!

Organizing Thoughts

Organizing can be overwhelming, but it can also be fun too. Once you start, it’s kind of hard to stop! I have been married for 24 years, and we have a family of four. If you ask my husband and family, they will tell you, I have been organizing from the beginning! It’s OK to start small and graduate. There are so many organizing bins to choose from. The dollar store also offers many organizing bins too. It’s all about researching and seeing what best fits your space and needs. You will find the perfect bin for any space in your home. I also have one more tip to offer. When you need to update an item, remember to clear out the old item, too. If we keep multiples, it can get overwhelming and messy. Regular decluttering and organizing will help us and our minds feel better and also help us find exactly what we need!

I hope I was able to give you some organizing tips and help motivate you, too! Happy decluttering and organizing, friends!
