I will be sharing have a simple DIY Christmas flower arrangement idea that will perfectly embrace the warmth of Christmas in your home. With so many options for Christmas arrangements, deciding on the perfect vase and floral stems can be overwhelming. However, I’m here to provide you with tips and ideas to create a simple, beautiful Christmas arrangement for your home.

Christmas Flower Arrangement Ideas

Starting With The Vase

Simple Stone Vase

There are a variety of vase styles to choose from, including metal, glass, baskets, and wood. For my DIY flower arrangement today, I’ll be using a metal stone-like vase I already have. It’s a cream-colored vase and it’s versatile enough to match all holiday color schemes. You can find vases at several stores, such as Hobby Lobby, Michaels, Walmart, or your preferred home store. Alternatively, you can also use a vase you already own. This vase is warm and inviting, making it a perfect addition to your home decor.

Choosing Your Christmas Flowers

There are so many amazing Christmas floral stems to choose from! You have many colors to select from, including beautiful and vibrant reds or muted and natural greens. You can also add some floral picks such as red and cream berries or golden berries, too. Adding pinecone stems makes this an arrangement that will also last throughout the winter season. The possibilities are endless, so go ahead and get creative!

If you’re curious about where I get my artificial flower stems, I usually buy them from Michaels or Hobby Lobby. I also like to reuse stems from previous years. For this arrangement, I chose floral stems and picks in natural shades of greens and reds with a touch of cream and gold berries too. To keep it cozy and neutral for the winter season, I added neutral-colored pinecone picks. I actually already had all these floral stems and picks. This is where you get to be creative and find similar stems to make your own arrangement, too.

Choosing A Ribbon

Christmas Plaid ribbon

When it’s time to choose a ribbon, there are plenty of options to consider. You will find a range of neutral reds and greens, as well as plaids and other patterned ribbons that fit your style. For my home Christmas flower arrangement this year, I’ve chosen a festive red and green plaid ribbon with a fun white textured edge. It complements the cream background of the vase perfectly! When adding bows to home decor, I prefer to keep things simple. However, you can add a bigger bow if you prefer or even skip the bow altogether. This is your chance to be creative and make the arrangement your own. I hope this inspires you to create a beautiful Christmas holiday bow for your vase!

Also, I’ve got a great tip for you! Notice this vase is neutral in color. This allows me to change the flower stems and ribbon out for each season. This helps to make your holiday decorating simple, too.
