Fall Mantel Decorating Ideas

Fall decorating offers countless ideas to make your home cozy and inviting. You can try warm-colored vases, muted candlesticks, wooden risers, natural greenery, and warm natural floral stems. To add a nice touch, consider using baskets, muted artwork, signs with fall quotes, and books. And even if pumpkins don’t fit your decor style, don’t miss out on this classic cozy fall fireplace mantel.

Fall colors can display hues from warm and bright to subdued and vibrant. If you prefer more neutral color hues, you may want to consider warm creams, golden amber, muted oranges, soft browns, and gentle green shades. On the other hand, if you’re looking for a bold and vibrant style, you might choose bright oranges, vibrant yellows, or fiery reds. It’s entirely up to you to decide on your desired fall color palette.

When looking for fall home decor inspiration, there’s an array of styles to choose from. You can go for a classic and cozy look or something more modern and elegant. There are also options for classic, farmhouse, modern, and minimalistic decor styles, too. Today, I’m excited to share some cozy fall decor ideas you can use all season long.

Fall Mantel Decorating

Now, let’s talk about how I decorated our fireplace mantel for fall this year.

Fall Mantel Garland

For my fall mantel centerpiece, I went for a simple and cozy feel. I started the centerpiece with a grand wooden windowpane arch. If you want to switch it up, a mirror could also work. To add some height to the décor, I used candleholders and risers and even added a muted orange pumpkin to the cream candleholder. Books are also a great way to elevate items. I incorporated a soft greenery garland with warm cream pumpkin picks to complement the display – it turned out beautifully! While I decided to keep it simple, you can always add more to the garland spray to suit your unique style and creativity.

On the sides of the mantel, I placed cream pumpkins on a wooden candleholder and a wooden riser. I also added candle wreaths with soft greens and muted orange berries. On the other side, I arranged various sizes of golden amber vases, some of which I put on wooden risers to add height. To complete the look, I added cream flower stems to the vases and a small brown textured pumpkin between them. Of course, you can always add more to make it your own!

Finding Cozy Home Decor Pieces

One question I often get asked is where I find my home decor pieces. I shop at places like Hobby Lobby, Michaels, Kirklands, and World Market. The key for me is to choose pieces that have a natural and timeless look. I especially love wooden tones for a natural aesthetic and timeless vases for a touch of elegance. Adding greenery or neutral floral stems can also help bring a room together. I try to choose items that can be used for years to come, as I’m all about reusing and repurposing decor. By the way, if you’re interested, I found the wooden arch here.
