Decorating With Vases

Fall Home Decorating Ideas

Simple vases are a great way to create a cozy ambiance for fall. The amber glass vases I picked out have different textures and sizes, with one elevated on a wooden riser. To complete the look, I added cream-colored florals to all the vases and a small muted brown pumpkin between them. The final result is perfect for our fireplace mantel, but could also be displayed on a shelf or console. I love this warm and neutral vibe with just a hint of fall.

Neutral Pumpkin Fall Decorating Ideas

Here’s another simple idea for fall. Try placing cream-colored pumpkins on wooden risers or candlesticks for a cozy autumn feel. Elevate the look by adding fall berry candlestick wreaths to the pumpkins for added warmth and interest. Everything is kept neutral with a few muted orange berries on the wreaths. This works great on the fireplace mantel, but can also be used as a table centerpiece. You could also add various candlesticks of varying heights and more pumpkins if you chose this fall idea for a table centerpiece.

Fall Kitchen Decor Ideas

I also love to add seasonal decor to our kitchen, and one of my favorite spots is the shelf behind the sink. I decided to add a cream water pitcher vase with a rustic brown handle in one corner. The pear stems bring a beautiful golden hue to the kitchen, and I added a few pumpkins inside and around the berry bowl. The bowl’s muted green shade also fits perfectly with the autumn color scheme. By keeping the decor neutral, we can easily transition into the later part of the season. In addition, I plan to swap out the pear stems for a neutral floral and possibly add some pumpkin stems too. This simple addition adds a touch of fall to our kitchen space, and I hope it inspires you to add some seasonal decor to your kitchen too.

Fall Shelf Decor

Versatile Fall Decor Ideas

Here’s a versatile idea for fall. This stone-textured vase is such a versatile choice that can be displayed all year long! During the autumn season, you could pair it with some golden yellow floral stems. And don’t worry about being stuck with the same look – you can easily switch out the faux stems to match the changing seasons. For the autumn holiday season, cream or muted orange pumpkin picks to the vase for a festive touch. Additionally, a neutral cream pumpkin has been placed on top of the wooden candlestick holder. To add another layer of decor to the space, the vase sits atop the Homebody Book by Joanna Gaines. You can see another DIY floral vase arrangement here. With all of these elements combined, you can achieve a beautiful, neutral fall look on your shelf!

Final Thoughts On Fall Home Decorating

Fall decorating can be a fun experience, but it can also feel like a long season. One approach is to start with some basic pieces in early fall and then gradually transition to more pumpkin-themed decorations in later fall. You can add color through floral stems, fall wreaths, candles, fall berry floral picks, and pumpkins. If you’re shopping for decor, Michaels, Hobby Lobby, World Market, Home Goods, or Target tend to have the best selection. Don’t forget to check out second-hand stores for items like vases and wooden home decor, too. Hopefully, these fall decorating ideas have inspired you to get creative and decorate your home for the fall season!
