Simple And Neutral Table-Setting Ideas For Mother’s Day And More
Hey there! With Mother’s Day coming up, I plan to organize a Family Gathering to celebrate this memorable holiday. I wanted to create a simple, neutral, yet elegant Mother’s Day Table Setting to make it even more memorable. I would love to show you how to create a simple table setting for Mother’s Day or any other holiday occasion, such as a bridal shower, baby shower, wedding, or maybe even a brunch.

Start With A Few Table Setting Basics
I started with a classic neutral table runner for this holiday occasion. It has a cream base with gray colored stripes. I then added the round textured placemats at each end of the table. These placemats are neutral brown with a fringed edge. You could also use them at each plate setting if you wanted to. But I’m just using them at the ends of the table for this table setting.
Next, I placed the galvanized metal chargers at each table seat that you see here.
Then, I added traditional white plates. I love to keep these plates on hand. Any white or cream-based plate is timeless and will last forever. These neutral plates also go with all holiday occasions.
Neutral Table Setting Centerpiece
Now, I will focus on the table centerpiece. I had the idea of simple floral arrangements with pinks and candlesticks. I found these beautiful flower stems at Trader Joes. If you have one nearby, they have the freshest flowers! Or you can check your local grocery or nearby flower store, too.
I then chose a simple, charming mason jar that I already had at home. We keep our glass jars, which gives me many options to choose from. I wanted to keep the vase simple and knew the mason jar was perfect for this occasion. As you can see, I cut the flowers to size and arranged them in the mason jars. I also added the burlap twine bow to the jars too. These flowers have the perfect mixture of pink hues for Mother’s Day.
Next, I chose to add simple pink candlesticks. The simple glass candlestick holders were the perfect candlestick holders for this occasion. They add a bit of elegance to this table setting. I had three candlesticks and placed them on the table, alternating with the mason jar flower arrangement. I love the warmth and elegance combined.
Neutral Table Setting Napkins
Lastly, the neutral cloth napkins with wooden napkin holders were placed on the plate settings. Notice the napkins have a fringed edge, which adds a bit of elegance, too.
Everything around this simple table setting was kept neutral, with a pink theme for the table centerpiece. The goal was to keep it simple and give that Mother’s Day feeling, too.

This completes our Simple and Beautiful Mother’s Day Table Setting. It all came together perfectly, just how I envisioned it. I included the colors of neutrals and pinks with glass and different textures. This made the perfect tablescape for our Mother’s Day Occasion!
